Important Notes for NC500 Motorhome Parking

Scottish Outdoor Access Code: The Code does NOT apply to motor vehicles. You cannot simply park anywhere. The Road Traffic Act 1988 allows parking up to 15 yards off a public road, but this does not confer any right to park overnight.

When parking informally, please: do not block roads or passing places, dispose of waste at designated facilities, support local businesses, and never park close to residential properties or cemeteries. Keep all activity inside your vehicle (no awnings or outdoor furniture). Many car parks now display "no overnight parking" signs β€” always check before settling for the night.

We strongly recommend booking campsites in advance during July and August. Outside peak season you'll find much more flexibility. Always carry contact details for your nearest campsite in case you need facilities unexpectedly.
