About Achmelvich Beach Campsite
Achmelvich Beach Campsite is a small, simple site right by one of the most beautiful beaches in Scotland. The turquoise waters of Achmelvich bay and the white shell sand have caused many visitors to do a double-take — this looks more like the Maldives than the Scottish Highlands. The campsite is basic by modern standards but the location more than compensates. Facilities are limited so self-sufficiency is advisable. The nearby village has a youth hostel in a historic whitewashed cottage.

🚐 Motorhome Tip
No booking system — first come, first served. Arrive by mid-afternoon in summer to secure a pitch. The swim (if you're brave — the water is cold) in the bay is one of the highlights of the entire NC500.
