GoNC500.com ("the Platform") is a motorhome hire marketplace and North Coast 500 travel guide. We connect motorhome owners with guests seeking to hire vehicles for touring the Scottish Highlands. We also provide free information about NC500 attractions, parking, facilities, and route planning.
GoNC500 is a marketplace — we facilitate connections between vehicle owners and guests. The hire agreement is between you and the vehicle owner. GoNC500 is not a party to this agreement and accepts no liability for the hire itself, the vehicle's condition, or any incidents during your trip.
When you submit a booking request, the vehicle owner has 24 hours to accept or decline. Acceptance is not guaranteed. Once accepted, you will be asked to pay a deposit to confirm. The balance is typically due before your collection date. Payment is processed via Stripe.
Each vehicle has its own cancellation policy (flexible, moderate, or strict), clearly displayed on the listing. Please check this before booking. GoNC500's service fee is non-refundable in most circumstances.
You must: hold a valid driving licence meeting the vehicle's requirements; be truthful about your driving history; treat the vehicle with reasonable care; follow the owner's house rules; complete check-in and check-out forms honestly; return the vehicle on time, clean, and with the agreed fuel level; and comply with all road traffic laws.
Each vehicle has its own insurance arrangements, detailed on the listing page. You are responsible for understanding the cover and excess before booking. In the event of an accident or damage, you may be liable up to the stated excess amount. See our insurance page for full details.
A refundable security deposit is collected at booking. It covers potential damage, excessive cleaning, late return, or fuel not replaced. The deposit is returned within 7 working days of check-out, less any deductions which will be itemised.

We make every effort to keep information accurate and up-to-date, but conditions, opening hours, prices, and road conditions change frequently. Always verify important details before travelling.
GoNC500 provides information and a booking platform. We are not liable for: the condition or suitability of any vehicle; any accident, injury, or loss during your hire; inaccurate information on the Platform; or any loss arising from the use of our travel guides and route information.
These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland.
