About Sango Sands Oasis
Sango Sands Oasis is the finest clifftop campsite on the NC500, perched dramatically above the twin coves of Sango Bay on the far northwest coast. Pitches on the cliff edge have unobstructed views north across the Atlantic — on a clear day you can see the distant outline of the Faroe Islands. Durness is the most northwesterly village on mainland Britain, and the campsite is perfectly placed for exploring Smoo Cave (15 minutes walk), the beaches at Balnakeil, and the Cape Wrath boat crossing.

🚐 Motorhome Tip
Cliff-edge pitches are the most sought-after on the entire NC500 — book months ahead for summer. The sunsets from the clifftop are legendary. Smoo Cave by torch at dusk is atmospheric and worth the short walk.
Booking
This site requires advance booking, especially in July and August. We strongly recommend booking at least 4–6 weeks ahead for summer visits.
