About Clashnessie Bay
Clashnessie Bay is a beautifully quiet and sheltered sandy cove on the Stoer Peninsula, notable for the nearby Clashnessie Waterfall which tumbles down the hillside a short walk from the beach. The cove has crystal-clear water and white sand, one of the most picturesque on the NC500 despite being largely unknown. The B869 coast road past here is one of the most scenic drives in Scotland.

🚐 Motorhome Tip
Very limited parking — not suitable for large motorhomes. Best approached in a smaller vehicle or campervan. The B869 coast road is single-track and narrow — allow extra time.

On the B869 coast road between Lochinver and Drumbeg, about 4 miles north of Lochinver.
Best Time to Visit
May to September. The waterfall is most impressive after rain.
