About Rosemarkie Beach
Rosemarkie Beach is a beautiful sandy cove on the Moray Firth coast of the Black Isle, backed by dramatic red sandstone cliffs that give the beach its distinctive warm colouring. The beach is exceptionally popular for dolphin watching — the resident Moray Firth bottlenose dolphins regularly pass by on their way in and out of the firth. The charming village has an excellent café, a fascinating Pictish museum (Groam House Museum), and access to the beautiful Fairy Glen woodland walk.

Free car park directly above the beach — good motorhome access. Combined perfectly with a stop at Chanonry Point (1 mile north) for dolphin watching on the incoming tide.
Getting There
From Inverness, cross the Kessock Bridge and take the A832 across the Black Isle to Rosemarkie. About 14 miles from Inverness.
Best Time to Visit
Year round. May–September for best weather. Dolphins most reliable on the incoming tide at nearby Chanonry Point.
