About Fairy Glen Falls
Fairy Glen is one of the most charming short walks on the NC500 — a well-maintained path that winds through ancient woodland along a burn, passing mossy boulders and twisted trees before reaching two beautiful waterfalls. The round walk is about 1.5 miles and takes around 45 minutes at an easy pace, making it ideal for families, dog walkers, and anyone wanting a gentle stretch of the legs between driving stints. Free car park at the trailhead in Rosemarkie suits small to medium motorhomes. Larger vehicles may prefer to park in Rosemarkie village itself, a short walk from the start of the trail. Paths can be muddy after rain — good footwear recommended.
Getting There
From the A832/A9 at Tore, follow signs to Rosemarkie. The Fairy Glen car park is signposted on the edge of the village.
Best Time to Visit
Spring and autumn for the best water flow. Open all year, daylight hours.
